For cargo and red-eye crews, reserve crew on odd hours, and anyone on the back side of the clock. What makes a crashpad day-sleeper friendly, how to rate it, and where to find one.
Use it when you tour a crashpad, and when you review one. A crashpad earns the day-sleeper friendly tag when crew reviews confirm the first three; the rest decide the score.
Every CommuteBase review can score daytime sleep from 1 to 5, separate from overall sleep. A crashpad can be quiet at 2 a.m. and loud at 2 p.m.; this rating shows the difference.
| Score | What it means |
|---|---|
| 5 | Slept a full daytime block. Dark, quiet, cool, nobody in and out. |
| 4 | Good day sleep with one minor issue (some light, an occasional door). |
| 3 | Got rest, but noise, light, heat, or traffic woke you. |
| 2 | Broken sleep. Cleaning, turnover, or bunk traffic during the day. |
| 1 | Could not sleep during the day. |
If the rating form does not ask for it yet, give your daytime sleep score in your written review. Rate a crashpad →

Many crashpads cap stays at 5–6 nights and ban using the crashpad as a residence (These Gold Wings). If you need a week or more, filter base pages by stay length (weekly, monthly, or 30+ nights) and look for a private room: it is the simplest fix for daytime bunk traffic.

Every base page has the same day-sleeper filter. No crashpad is tagged day-sleeper friendly yet; tags appear as crew reviews confirm them.
